“Un Rincón de Puerto Rico en El Barrio” are vignettes that reflect the soul of our Puerto Rican people, their stories and the enigmatic landscapes that transport us to the island and back to "El Barrio." From Sixto Escobar, to Julia de Burgos, and songs from our land, the commemorative moments of our Puerto Rican culture are interrelated and reflective of the true irony of hearts wounded by the writings of time, and happiness due extraordinary triumphs.

La Casa de la Herencia Cultural Puertorriqueña, Inc. (The Puerto Rican Cultural Heritage House, Inc.) is pleased to present "Un rincón de Puerto Rico en El Barrio” a short film written and directed by theater director and cinematographer Luis Caballero. “Un rincón de Puerto Rico en El Barrio” was filmed in New York and Puerto Rico during pandemic and high seclusion times, when New York City became the epicenter of COVID -19.
